15 month old waking for milk

My ds eats really well during the day. He has 7oz milk in the morning, breakfast, 7oz after lunch , dinner and 8 oz before bed.
Fruit snacks between meals.
Drinks water with meals and access to his sippy cup (water) all day.
He has started waking at 0300 for a bottle then drains it but wakes up twenty mins later needing more!

Does anyone have any tips for dropping night feeds?

he's taking an awful lot of milk (300mls recommended from 1 year - approx 12oz). How much food is he taking? Could you give something like cereal before bed to see if that fills him up a bit more? Maybe he needs more substantial snacks as there arent a lot of calories in fruit

Thank you vodka We had real problems with weaning. He just wouldn't eat! Only at 13 mo he started actually swallowing food. He just spat everything out, dropping from 50 th centile to 5 th.
Nothing medically wrong although had two nasty bouts of gastroenteritis leaving him temporarily lactose intolerant - fine now.

Maybe he is just hungry. Cereal before bed sounds like a good plan.

(He can self settle and isn't fed to sleep so ts not like he's relying on milk to settle.)
