like many of his friends my ds 3yrs 9mnths can do jigsaws for ages 6+. so i have two questions - are these age recommendations on puzzles just really conservative and therefore a bit rubbish? and if not what is being good at puzzles a sign of - good spatial relations, good at maths possibly? and what more can you do to encourage this skill without becoming obsesessive!

my ds who is 4 would be very unlikely to sit and do a jigsawfor ages 6 plus he would probably chew some of them and drop the rest on the floor so I am not experienced in this but i would say good spatial awareness and logic?
