Please can anyone give me advice. My wee girl is 20 months old and she is lonely a wishes for other childrens company. She has adult company all the time and my brother inlaws dog comes and visit some times and she follow the dog and trys to play with him like he's another child, to the point she pesters the poor thing. I took her to a dance class for 2 - 4 year old and she was more or less kicked out course she wanted to run around and dance, too young to follow their structured class. Are there any mums in my situation around my area that fancy a meet up for our wee ones to make friends. Any advice welcome:)

Where abouts are you? What about mother and toddler groups in the area?

If you post an ad like this on MN local you will probably have more chance of finding someone. Good luck!

Mumsnet local is part of this site - if you look at the blue bar at the top of this page you'll see a tab marked 'local' - you can find the Glasgow local site there. Hang on and I'll do you a link....

Here you go - that's a link to the local talk boards on the Glasgow site.

Good luck!

Also, just to say, it does get better once they are at nursery and especially, I found, once they start school. It can be a bit lonesome at first, can't it?

Try and find something in your area. I know this is probably going to make me very unpopular but register with netmums for your area and you'll find all the baby groups/ playgroups listed. I would've gone crazy if I didn't get out to groups.Smile
