i have noticed that mmy dd has a lump that sticks out under her ribs when she lies on her back and appears to hold her breath whilst crossing her legs and arms. we thought at first she was trying to do a poo but she seems to do it in protest and she does it quite regularly and now i have noticed the lump, i'm quite concerned. The lump isnt there any other time and doesnt seem to bother her when you touch it, anyone else experienced similar?

No, but if you're worried at all then get her checked out by your GP. They would rather see 100 children whose parents just need reassurance than miss 1 child with something wrong because their parents were embarrassed about taking them for something trivial - cliche but true.

Take her to the gp tomorrow, I'm not trying to deliberately scare you with awful horror stories but my old neighbours lovely little 2yr old boy had an unusual lump, when he lay down on his back you could see it just above his stomach, it turned out to be an aggressive form of cancer which he sadly lost the battle from.

My DS had a lump. Turned out to be a hernia- not life threatening at all. Minor op and he is fine now.
