Which toy

My dd1 is now almost 9 months old and im convinced she's gettin bored with some of her toys. Im not one for buying just everything thats on the market and i like her to concentrate on a small number of toys at a time as opposed to organised chaos! But I just dont know which toys are best for her age, there seems to be so many things claiming to achieve so much!

Watching with interest! Which toys did your DD like when she was 5-6 months?

Why not try a playgroup and see what she goes for?

My DD likes dolls or anything with a face but also pianos or musical toys. Touchy feely books seem to be more interesting now, oh and my iPhone and our cat. She's 11 months but these have been favourites for a while.

If she is standing/trying to walk I would get a push walker or musical table.

just in earky crawl stage at the moment so a little soon for a push/walker thingy! She likes blocks, soft sponge balls and her big teddies. Remote controls and empty bottles. In the bath its the sponge and an empty mullerrice tub! Anything that bangs!! Also loves her bus cos verything goes inside then gets systematically trailed out. I was hoping for some tips on some more interactive type toys maybe? Bright lights, sounds, textures etc

There is quite a big thread in 'Parenting' called top toys for 6 months +. You might want to check it out.

Basic set of 10 plastic stacking cups. I got some for DD when she was 6 months and she has played with them off and on to 3 yrs.
