Faith or Faethe?

I prefer Faith but have heard of the celtic/gaelic Faethe.

Which 1?

Faith. Even if it is real, the other version looks made-up and a lot of people will assume you're just being awkward

I saw Faethe on a couple of baby name sites, I think it's sort of a Keats-esque spelling. You know how he was with his faeries etc.

it has a different derivation from Faith even though it sounds the same

Faith is better

Faith - definitely.

I'm Scottish and I've never heard of Faethe . Are they American baby name websites? I've often laughed at what they call Scottish and Irish names

Faith - at least most people will know how to spell it - lovely name by the way.

Thank you. I'm so excited. I don't mind if it's a girl or boy but would quite like to get chance to use the name Faith. It's something people wouldn't expect me to come up with I think. Dp and I both love it.

It will be Faith Juliet (Juliet after my mum who is Julie but hates her name and likes Juliet).

Quick addition to this thread- is it Juliet or Juliette? I prefer Juliet, but I don't know if that's made up?

Juliet.

And you've gotta have Faith (ahem, warning - was a very attractive Faith once temping where I used to work and I'm afraid one's male colleagues would go around singing thus...although I doubt any succeeded...)

I have known a Juliet and a Juliette. I prefer Juliet.
