Best baby name websites. Please help...

Well, we've sort of narrowed it down (see earlier post on Angus, Bailey, Isla & Macy). But I'm paranoid that a week after this baby's born & named something I like more will come along. I desperately need a website or 2 that are easy to navigate for names. I've spent the past 2 months looking thru books in my lunch break and hadn't really wanted to trawl through websites too

I've gone through 4 free name books off of magazines, best baby name book from a friend and a huge thick one I brought in Asda for £5 which threw no new names up at all.

My mind is telling me that if I'm not totally happy with aforementioned names then maybe they're not the 'right' ones???? With our first 2 children we had names in plenty of time and were totally happy with them, why's it so much harder this time.

I'm guessing that as this is our last baby there's no 'next baby' to name with something we come across in a year's time . But, we never had this worry with the last 2 (ie, we didn't name 2nd baby with the girl name from 1st time around iyswim?).

Also, Isla was on our list last time, we had 2 girl names we couldn't decide on so we said if it was a girl (which she was) that we'd see which suited her best when she arrived. I can't help feeling that, although I still love this name, would it always be 2nd best?

Would really appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance

There is a site called nymbler- you type in your existing names that you like, or your other kids names, and they come up with lots that you may like. I think it's nymbler.com.

Also there is a site called behindthename.com but it's not as good if you're looking for inspiration.

I think if the name doesn't feel right, then it isn't the best one for you to name your baby. No rush!

This one is fun to play with if you want to get a feel for how popular a name is, though I think the rankings are from the US.

And here you will discover some to avoid

Thanks for your help everyone. I've had a look but nothing new's come up. I guess we're destined to have an Angus or an Isla.

Have found a different middle name for Angus though, Dexter, and we really like it.

I guess we'll soon know which we'll need to use!

Thanks again
