Not my taste.
Goes well with Fox though and kind of suits them

I wouldn't have picked it for me - I am not a mum of a Winston iyswim - but I think it's a perfectly good name

(NorthernLurker - have been meaning to say for 6 months that you suggested a middle name for our daughter which we took up )

Really?? - I'm very pleased - thank you for telling me. Will have to wrack my brains now for what it was....

Apparently Chris Evans was among the first non family members to see the baby....... I find that quite odd that he is still so close even though they have both now remarried...... aibu????????

yes yabu -I think it's really encouraging they are such good friends. They were a big part of each others lives and if they can keep that going then good on them!

Scorpio - that's dd2's middle name. Honestly I would say I've got so many children I get them mixed up but as I have only three I don't think that excuse will wash!

Ok point taken..... Actually thinking back to when i had my second ds my ex bfs mum worked next to the maternity unit and she popped in to see me and ds2. My late dh found that a little odd but i was thrilled to see her!

I don't like the name, but you don't seem to able to be famous and have anything very ordinary do you?
And I think it's rather sweet that Billie and Chris Evans are still good friends.

Doesn't Winston Fox sound a bit like a character from a cartoon?

When I was at university we were told halfway through the year that a new student would be joining us and his name was Winston. We all, perhaps naively, assumed he was a black guy (it was 1985), but when he showed up he had ginger hair and a Welsh accent!

Winston Fox. It's cool. Sounds like something Gwen Stefani would have come up with.

Billie was not running that one past mumsnet on the babynames board!

Do slebs ever do that!!

Can't see it suiting a 6ft tall skinny whizz kid, but each to their own. Some names suit babies/kids great, but once they hit adulthood they just ain't right!!

It does sound like the kind of name a very cool black actor would have. Does films where he strides in slow-motion away from a big explosion without his leather jacket or shades getting out of place.

...makes sense now

I know too many dogs called Winston.

And I lived in Winston.

The village, not the dog.
