Dd2 due November - Miranda Ava Vivienne?

What does anyone think? Too contrived? Too elaborate? Suggestive that I?m copying Angelina? (I?m not btw ? dh and I liked Vivienne even before I was pg) I know Ava?s quite popular right now, although that doesn?t particularly bother me, especially where a middle name is concerned. Miranda dh and I both love, but don't hear it much and are wondering if there's a really good reason it's uncommon.

Is it any good, or should we go back to the drawing board? Oh, wise mummies, I?d really appreciate some input.

Have also thought about replacing Ava with Avis, Avery, Arden, Ada or Adra. Hits? Misses?

Thanks!

Miranda is such a cool name

Why three names? Unless they're family names you feel you have to have I think three names IS a bit much. Two is fine!

Miranda Ava is absolutely lovely. Stick the Vivienne on the end and it just gets fussy. It's just like you can't make up your minds so stick them in a list!!!

Miranda Vivienne would be just as lovely. Trips of the tongue a bit easier too, as names that end in A then go on to another A are awkward to say.

I love the name Vivienne.
All three names are nice. If you want something different to Ava, go with Eva. Not Avis, Avery, Arden or Adra. Ada is nice.

Adrienne is also lovely, similar to Vivienne.

I think all three are ok - Ava a bit common maybe? I like Miranda best though - thought of it for my DD but ruled it out because I thought it might get shortened to Randy.. maybe thats why its not as popular - don't let that put you off though... you can't predict how or if it'll be shortened.

Dd1 has two middle names, which was a family thing. Obviously the rule doesn't have to apply to dd2, but I can't get over the feeling that it would seem somehow 'odd' or unequal for her to have just one middle and her sister two.

Honoria - MIL thinks any number of middles is fussy; dh and his brothers have no middle names at all. So I guess it's just a personal thing where you draw the 'fussy' line at middle names.

Glad Miranda has had some thumbs-ups so far. Did think about the 'Randy' possibility, but dh is insistent that her nickname is going to be Mimi. I'm still a bit about that one.

I know what you mean about it being so personal what seems too much, or not

I think Miranda Vivienne sounds perfect TBH - lovely, classy name. Miranda Ava Vivienne is just much more unweildy IMO, not so attractive

I think treat each child as a complete individual; your first had three names because THOSE sounded just right, so why not have a different number for your second if THEY sound right?

My brother has a middle name, I don't - only because my mum loved my name and couldn't think of another she wanted to put with it. I never felt I had to be the same as my bro, in fact it's nice to know your parents didn't just do the same just 'because' - they chose the names they loved and if they only loved one, that was enough!

I think Miranda is a lovely name (actually it is my middle name)
I agree with some of the others, however, that Miranda Ava Vivienne is a little bit of a mouthful and that one middle name would actually sound nicer.
Just my opinion!

Miranda is the name of one of my dds and I love it. I have to say she has never been shortened to Randy - we call her mo-mo sometimes I do think that a short middle name works best as it is quite an elaborate first name - gorgeous though.

I think Miranda Ava Vivienne is a bit of a mouthful. I have to say I am not that keen on Miranda, mainly because I thought she was a v irritating character...

love it

also, if you thought it was a bit too long (not that it is but if you did) I would take out the Ava.

Personally i'd just go for 2 names and have either Miranda Vivienne or Miranda Ava. They are both lovely
