Hiya,

In despeate need of some help! Trying to think of babs names, celtic origin, not to weird btu nocommon either. My husband likes Muireann for a girl, but I think it is too old fashioned (sorry if I ofend anyone) but think it woul make a cool middle name for a girl.

Wee settled on Dylan for a boy but we stupidly told our friends this and they used it for their little boy, born in October.

Love Fraser but still not 100% on it.

Help?

Thx

I think Fraser is lovely. Nicer than Dylan, and less common.

How about Niamh for a girl?

I love Niamh, just hope DH doesn't veto it with his usual reply of NO! I like Muireann. LOL

Thank you!!

What about Olwen for a girl.

I always thought it sounded beautiful and whilst the literal meaning is "white footprint," the more accurate meaning is apparently "the path the moon takes on water" which I think is lovely.

In Welsh/Gaelic legend Olwen was a beautiful maiden, the lover of Culhwch and the daughter of the giant Yspaddaden. Her father insisted that Culhwch complete several seemingly impossible tasks before he would allow them to marry, and Culhwch was successful with all of them.

Legend also states that Olwen had the magical power of causing white clovers to spring up wherever she walked.
