Hey,

Just a question to Londoners... what baby names have you across recently?

I’m in london but don’t really know what’s popular here...as it seems a bit of a mixed bag.

Thanks in advance

Where I live there are lots of Finley, Sophia, Mia. Nothing else sticks out off the top of my head. Maybe also Isabelle/ella and Charlie.

Endless Lilys, Rubys, Gracies and Scarletts. As far as the eye can see. Quite a lot of Amys too.

You can’t move for Arlos round here. Camilla seems quite popular too. I’m guessing it varies hugely from neighbourhood to neighbourhood though.

Anything and everything ! I’m in south east London and hear unique ones every day, it’s quite lovely. There are quite a few 3 year old Noahs though !

There’s a real mix. I’d say people go for more “out there” names in London.

Wren must be more popular in London than names like Emma or John, I’d have thought.

It’s like a breath of fresh air to me when I hear someone called “Christopher” or “peter” or “Sophie”. Lovely classic normal names

I like unusual names too of course. There’s just so many unusual names that it’s actually the classic names that stand out and that I remember

Surprised about Camilla! Though it is a beautiful name. Agree about Noah though!
I agree it may be borough specific.

Agree that anything goes!

Londoners are pretty open minded imo.

There seem to be a greater number of names in general. Have come across some fairly unusual ones. This I guess also influenced by the fact it's such an international city.

For general trends I have heard lots of Ada and Arlo, granny/grandad chic names and names ending in ie/y sounds.
