Initials SLT

I think we've finally decided on our baby name. The only issue is that the initials would be SLT (or possibly SLFT if we add a 2nd middle name). When you see those initials do you see the word "slut", or am I being crazy? DH certainly thinks so!

When I see those I think ‘senior leadership team’ but then I work in education 😂

Initials are so rarely written down like that I really wouldn’t worry, give your baby the name you love

I agree, you almost never in adult life use your initials. These initials don't spell anything anyway. Go right ahead and choose the names you like.

I disagree that initials are rarely written down. But I don't see slut, I see senior leadership team too.
Back in my teaching day the form groups were labelled according to the initials of the teacher. One group should have been MOO. It was changed to MOD but the kids all referred to the class and teacher as moo Sad

Speech and Language Therapy to me! I think the initials are fine, nothing to worry about.

Phew! That's definitely reassuring to hear that you guys don't see it either. Wasn't sure if DH was just saying it because he couldn't hear any more discussions on baby names! 😂

Senior leadership team / speech and language therapist both sound like pretty good job prospects so don't mind either of those hehe!

Initials often used in my workplace. But I don’t think anyone except you would look at those letters and see “slut”.

Another one for Speech and Language.

It didn't occur to me my first thought was maybe you thought it was too similar to BLT, which is a ridiculous thought

Senior Leadership Team here too! (I just typed SLT instead of in full then because I'm so used to abbreviating it!)

Definitely don't see slut at all. I'd go for it. I know someone whose initials were RAT before she got married. We thought it was quite cool actually
