Baby boy name

So our baby boy is 2 days old and still nameless. We didn't know the sex and found it much more difficult to find boys names we likes compared with girls.

DH likes Peter and I wasn't too sure but now that he's here and I've tried it out, I think it suits him. Just don't want to make the wrong decision, blooming hormones are all over the place! Would like some other opinions, what do you think of Peter, middle name is probably James?

I'm not normally one for 'traditional' names but Peter is lovely. As a previous post say a very underused classic.

Go for it! Congratulations. Smile

Thanks everyone! I guess noone's going to dare say they hate it to a hormonal mummy who's only given birth 2 days ago, but I appreciate your thoughts and I think it's the one, finally! Going to try it out for a few hours before announcing it!

I love Peter as a name. “Pete”s are good strong dependable blokes.

Peter James is very handsome. I know several lovely Peters, ranging from 9 months to 95 years! An classic name which will serve him well throughout his life.

Congratulations Flowers

A definate yes from me
Its classic. There certainly won't be many if any little Peters in his school.
It ages well, its cute on the name peg.
Cool for a teenager, and Sounds powerful and strong for an adult.
Plus Pete is good nn. Whats not to love.
Congratulations. Flowers

It’s lovely. Timeless but also I don’t know any Peters under 40. So actually original

Sorry. Really dated and old fashioned and I like ‘classic’ names. It’s a no from me.

Lovely name. In fact if I have a DS he will also be Peter James - Peter because I love it and it’s so timeless, James after DH

Congratulations Flowers

Peter is so underused and I don't know why. It's a great name. Peter James flows well too. I think you're making a good choice. Congratulations!

Lovely. There's a lot to be said for a good, solid name.

Peter is a good choice, a classic name but not overused. James is also good but it does seem to be the go-to middle name at the moment.
