Final 3 - which name do you prefer?

First of all, I'm not interested in any other suggestions. I'd just like to know which of these 3 names you prefer:
Adeline
Cecily
Miranda

Surname is 2 syllables and starts with a T. Middle name will be either Jane or Mary.

They are all lovely names, but my vote goes to Cecily Jane.

I think I like Cecily. Especially with your T surname and middle name Jane.

Another vote for Cecily Jane. Congratulations Flowers

Cecily Jane Turner/Tucker etc sounds just lovely. I love Adeline but would hesitate due to een/ine pronunciation. Miranda is lovely too but I choose Cecily.

Miranda then Cecily not Adeline - again due to the potential for pn confusion.

We'd pronounce the ending of Adeline as 'een' - it hadn't even occurred to me that there might be a different pronunciation Blush

Cecily Mary sounds good to me.

Cecily Jane here too.

I think people who don't know her on seeing it written down will often decide it's pn Adel-ine- rhymes with line, rather than the een you prefer.

Cecily

I would definitely pronounce adeline with an 'ine' sound, not an 'een' sound if i read it.

I like both your others but prefer Jane as the middle name with both Miranda and Cecily

Oh, also I know you said no other names but it's more of a variant, I think Cecily Maria works well too

Cecily Jane is great.

I love a similar name - Cecilia and had it on our girls list (nickname CeCe which I thought would be cute when she was little)

I agree with Adeline having a few pronunciations.

Cecily - so pretty

Adeline, with the -ine pronunciation, is beautiful.

Cecily Jane - lovely!

(Nicest in its Cecily entirety, IMO, but "CeCe", with the "See-See" pronunciation, does work really well for a shortening).

Adeline Mary! Or Cecily Jane. But all are lovely names.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I'm going to show DH this thread when he gets home (he's worried that Cecily would be perceived as a wishy-washy name).

I always thought names ending 'ine' were pronounced 'een' in English (e.g. Francine, Pauline, Celine). It's interesting to hear that this isn't necessarily the case. Definitely food for thought.
