To me, JPS is still synonymous with the F1 racing team of old, which I appreciate was named after the sponsors, but still. Cool cars. Cool team. Cool association.

I've worked in 6 different schools and every single one has referred to staff members by a 3 initial code like JPS. These go up on the cover boards, duty boards and are even how some members of staff refer to each other!
I agree though, even to those who think of the cigarettes, JPS is not a big deal.
