I love Lucy and Amy but are they really popular/common?? That puts me off.
I don't know any little Louises.
Which do you prefer, or any other suggestions?

I have 2 daughters called Lucie and Aimie and I love their names, they are quite popular which is why I spelt them differently, I'm not that keen on Louise X

Amee1992x · 23/06/2017 19:42

I'm Amy spelled Amee.

oohhhhitshappening · 23/06/2017 19:43

I really like Lucy; i only know of one Lucy

SallyGinnamon · 23/06/2017 19:44

Love them all. But NOT with -ee or -ie endings.

EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic · 23/06/2017 19:45

I know a couple of Lucy's around the 18 mark. The other one I know is in her 40s and a very dear friend. Lucy would win for me Smile

I just checked and Lucy is a top 10 name... ( www.mumsnet.com/baby-names/most-popular-scottish-baby-names ).

I like Lucy, all with the standard spellings.

Igottastartthinkingbee · 23/06/2017 19:53

I have a toddler Amy, she's the only one I know who's under 30. And all the Lucys I know are adults. Not keen on Louise.

LexieLulu · 23/06/2017 19:55

I love the standard spelling xx

MikeUniformMike · 23/06/2017 19:56

I know it's popular but I've never really liked Amy and I dislike the alternative spellings (sorry Amee).
Louise is a really pretty name but the Louises I know are either miserable or unpleasant.
Lucy is lovely, but very popular.
All are classic names that won't date.

LexieLulu · 23/06/2017 19:56

Lucy was on my list but our surname begins with L so it was a bit much x

DickHair73 · 23/06/2017 19:57

Know lots of little Amy's.
Lucy/Lucie - I really like (though only know much older ones).
Love Louise too - though was a very common name in the 1970's (you either got Louise or Jane as a middle name).
I love Eloise.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 23/06/2017 19:59

Louise is my DD's middle name. I love it. I don't mind Lucy but I'm not wild on Amy.

Shockers · 23/06/2017 20:05

Lucy has consistently been my favourite girls name since I was a child. I'm now in my 50s and although they tend to be fairly thin on the ground, (I have worked in schools for many years) I have never met a Lucy I didn't like!

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 23/06/2017 20:10

I love Lucy.

Amy will always be the horrible girl at school.

Louise is popular where I live, both of my DSs have Louises in their class.

Louisa.

MessyBun247 · 23/06/2017 20:15

I have an Aimee. Just prefer the spelling.

Lucy is quite popular where I live.

Louise is a bit 1980s.

Thatextrainch · 23/06/2017 20:17

Amy 117th
Lucy 32nd
Louise 417th

In popularity in 2015.

I like Amy the best.

Tidypidy · 23/06/2017 20:22

Lucy is best but then I'm biased! Louise often gets shortened to Lou, Amy is quite common where we live.

Lemondrop99 · 23/06/2017 20:25

Lucy is classic

Amy is nice enough but feels a little dated

I have an irrational dislike of the name Louise (because almost every Louise I've met has been quite unpleasant). I also dislike Louisa, Eloise and similar

I know loads of each name - but all in 20s and 30s, don't know any babies with those names

Turneeps · 23/06/2017 20:36

Think we will go with Lucy. It is a fab name. Hubby just suggested Alice for the first time, but I still prefer Lucy.

I like Lucy and Alice equally. They are both classic names that don't date. Lucy Alice Surname.
