This is the final 3... middle name will be Rose. Surname is short, one syllable beginning with B.

Zoey
Layla
Isla

Thanks!

Zoey/Zoe

Jooni · 28/04/2017 20:08

... and I like Zoey!

Not so sure on Zoey Rose though - lots of "o" sounds, it's maybe a bit repetitive. Is Rose a family name?

jamaicanbobsledder · 28/04/2017 20:21

Yes Jooni it's a family name

Isla rose
Or
Zoë Rosa (the y seems redundant - esp if you are using an umlaut)
However (of course) you may prefer it but in my opinion it looks out of place!

Congrats on your pregnancy and do let us know what you choose Grin

All nice, but my favourite is Zoe. I don't like it spelled Zoey though.

Zoe! (sorry, not helping)

But if Zoe isn't an option? Definitely Zoey.

I really like Zoe(y) Rose.

Zoey, such a lovely name and meaning and I like the unusual spelling. Flows well with rose.

I like Layla and Zoe (not Zoey, the y is completely unnecessary). I don't like Isla.

I think Layla Rose sounds better than Zoe Rose though.

Zoe. Without the y.

Zoey is lovely (this is my favourite spelling too) Isla is all common, and Isla Rose even more so

I also know several Layla's and I'm not a fan

Zoey sounds a bit fiesty and classy (similar to how Zara sounds) I like it

Isla - classy and beautiful. I also love Iona - Celtic maid I guess! Congratulations 😊

To me Rose is quite a traditional name but personally I think of Zoe as a 80's name and too modern to go before it, Layla sounds too chavvy like Chanice Alexis etc, Isla is my favourite out of those names but I don't know whether it sounds like a name that's maybe trying too hard if you see what I mean.
Names I feel that go with Rose are more traditional names such as Mary Rose, Lily Rose, Catherine/Kathrerine Rose, Charlotte Rose, Elizabeth Rose etc etc.

Thanks - that is really helpful. My preference is Zoey, Isla then Layla so seems to be the general consensus so far!

Any other suggestions would be welcomed too Smile
