Has anyone ever heard the girls name 'Runa' before? I really like it. I believe it's Norwegian and means 'secret, flowing' I'm thinking this or something similar if baby is a girl. Anyone have any opinions/other suggestions? X

Never heard of it but it doesn't sound made up. I would imagine someone called runa to have a good story behind their name.

Thank you everyone. It's top of my list...for now! Only 5wks till I'm due so really have to get organised with names, we keep changing our minds confused

CurlsLDN Fri 17-Feb-17 19:48:01

I like it.

It immediately reminded me of rune stones, it's probably not related but I suppose rune isn't heard often so some will make the link. (Not a bad thing in my opinion, but worth flagging in case you dislike the association)

whirliebird Fri 17-Feb-17 20:16:14

Thank you Curls Rune is apparently the masculine form of Runa.

I knew a Rune (male, Danish), but wasn't aware of a female version.
I don't love it - but roo-roo/noo-noo could be quite cute nns when she's little

SaudadeObama Sat 18-Feb-17 06:13:38

I know a Rune who's a male Norwigan. Not heard the female version but it's nice.
