Myself and duh really love Phoebe but have previously discounted it due to the popularity which does annoy me, I know some people will think this is silly! But I think compared to how very unusual Aphra is does it just not sit right?? I'm not in Britain btw and Phoebe is not even in the top 100 in my country however we are very close to Britain Grin

I like them together, it's a nice contrast.

Aphra is my no 1 girls name. I love it. Phoebe seems a bit humdrum in comparison.

Showofhands what other names do you like....I'm so stuck for inspiration and seriously overthinking it at this stage Confused

I am past having babies so don't think about it tbh but if I'd had another, she'd be Josephine (Sephie) or Miriam.

I've always loved the name Aphra. I also really like Lilith and Estella, which are both a bit more unusual.

Phoebe works as a sister to Aphra. They don't have to be similarly popular/unpopular (we've just had huge thread about this topic Smile)

I'm biased as I have a Phoebe, so obviously love her name.
Don't be worried about popularity, in the big junior school she's in there are 2 of them.
Never known any others.

It's fine (I love Phoebe btw) although I know how you feel. I have a Xanthe but love the name Jessica for (if) any future dd but worry if it's a bit plain in comparison. However, I won't have to repeat her name 3 times or spell it out 😉

Funnily enough I had Ines on the list but just sort of forgot about it, yes I quite like that, it strikes a nice balance between not too popular but not crazy either and it's simple Grin
