Christian as I really don't like Alfie for some reason. I know it's v popular though, so think I must be in the minority!

Christian, although the religious connotations might make me think twice. I'm not keen on Alfred.

Or Christian spelt the scandi way, Kristian?

CompanyOfCats Mon 30-Jan-17 13:57:55

Soooooooooo many baby Alfies right now.

Pipilangstrumpf Mon 30-Jan-17 15:03:52

Alfie already sounds dated and imo a little comical.

Christian is a lovely solid name that sounds strong and masculine. Not overused these days.

Thank you all! Really helpful comments smileflowers

Yeah I'm reeaaaaally over Alfie, but if you do I'm definitely pro being Alfred on the BC.
I know several Christians and it's a nice name, even though it's super obvious the religious aspect never jumps out at me. One Christian I know his parents are agnostic as far as I know.

Christian. Far more classy and timeless. Alfie is dreadful.

daisydaisychain Mon 30-Jan-17 19:34:05

I like Alfred and the historical connotations.

chatnanny Mon 30-Jan-17 19:36:14

I know several little Alfreds which would put me off. I like Christian and have never made the religious connection either.

MollyHuaCha Mon 30-Jan-17 20:38:50

Christian. Lovely name.

If Christian feels too religious how about Christopher?
