Thank you... smile

For me personally, I just hear Sharon in Eastenders calling " Denny"...

If you don't watch EE, then It would be fantastic if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Would you have Dennis on the BC or just Denny?

Might work on cute little kid but anything after about 8 years old is a no

Sholly Mon 16-Jan-17 23:46:55

It's a NN. I've got name regret, so wanted to find a NN, so don't worry about him having a full-name, he has one (if he really wants to go by it when older) but yeah smile

Assume you are not in the Lothians? grin

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington Tue 17-Jan-17 00:53:06

My first thought was Wickham's pal in Pride & Prejudice. Dead cultured me!

But Sunbeam has reminded me of the town..... grin Tis a bit of a grim town.

Fine as a nickname!

I've known three Danny's. They are all bastards.

AmyInTheBoonies Tue 17-Jan-17 04:50:47

It's a bit of a rogue's name to me for some reason. Maybe it's the Eastenders connection.

BitOutOfPractice Tue 17-Jan-17 05:27:01

It's a downmarket restaurant chain in America well known for cheap breakfasts. There's one in every town.

The Denny I know is a female and it's short for Deneva.

So, it's a no from me.

Afreshstartplease Tue 17-Jan-17 06:12:13

What's the full name op

wigglesrock Tue 17-Jan-17 07:14:10

It's a big brand of sausages/bacon in Ireland - so that's what I'd think of first but that's just me.

Only1scoop Tue 17-Jan-17 07:15:58

It's a surname

NoMoreAngstPls Tue 17-Jan-17 07:21:38

Reminds me of a handsome Grey's Anatomy character.....

I like it actually. What is real name?

Sugarpiehoneyeye Tue 17-Jan-17 10:42:17

Is he called Dennis OP ?
It isn't really, such a bad name, more one to grow into. He'll become known as Den.
Or is it something else, Denver ?

GinIsIn Tue 17-Jan-17 10:43:58

Dirty Den
Denny's the fast food chain
Denny the slightly dim character from P&P

Mol1628 Tue 17-Jan-17 10:48:22

Quite a common surname.

MollyHuaCha Tue 17-Jan-17 10:50:38

I've been to a few Denny's Diners in USA - seem to specialize in pancakes, coffee and 'eggs over easy'

MiniMaxi Tue 17-Jan-17 16:59:52

Denzel, I hope!

Denny is fine as a nn

EssentialHummus Tue 17-Jan-17 17:04:32

I think of Denny Crane, the William Shatner character from Boston Legal. It's not offensive OP, just a bit out there. I'd assume you weren't English, if that makes a difference.

Kanewreck Tue 17-Jan-17 17:05:37

Why be Denny different

That1950sMum Tue 17-Jan-17 17:08:01

That's not a real name is it?

Sophpau Tue 17-Jan-17 17:29:04

Everyone will call him den after a certain age so you just need to roll that off your tounge a few times see how it sounds
