For me personally, I just hear Sharon in Eastenders calling " Denny"...

If you don't watch EE, then It would be fantastic if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Would you have Dennis on the BC or just Denny?

Might work on cute little kid but anything after about 8 years old is a no

It's a NN. I've got name regret, so wanted to find a NN, so don't worry about him having a full-name, he has one (if he really wants to go by it when older) but yeah Smile

My first thought was Wickham's pal in Pride & Prejudice. Dead cultured me!

But Sunbeam has reminded me of the town..... Grin Tis a bit of a grim town.

Fine as a nickname!

I've known three Danny's. They are all bastards.

It's a bit of a rogue's name to me for some reason. Maybe it's the Eastenders connection.

It's a downmarket restaurant chain in America well known for cheap breakfasts. There's one in every town.

The Denny I know is a female and it's short for Deneva.

So, it's a no from me.

It's a big brand of sausages/bacon in Ireland - so that's what I'd think of first but that's just me.

Is he called Dennis OP ?
It isn't really, such a bad name, more one to grow into. He'll become known as Den.
Or is it something else, Denver ?

I've been to a few Denny's Diners in USA - seem to specialize in pancakes, coffee and 'eggs over easy'

I think of Denny Crane, the William Shatner character from Boston Legal. It's not offensive OP, just a bit out there. I'd assume you weren't English, if that makes a difference.

Why be Denny different
