For a middle name? Smile

It's unusual, is there a significance to it?

Wacky and a well known paint colour but quite sweet!

Also one of those names that implies a gentle personality, like Grace, which is tempting fate for a hellraising DC!

Love it!

I'm not keen... I just don't think it sounds like a name Blush

I absolutely love it - wish I'd thought of it! Grin

I think it's sweet, especially for a middle name. My only reservation is the verb meaning of the word, to fawn.

I don't like it. Why do you want to use it as a name? It sounds like a paint colour.

It's a baby deer - if you love it go with it Smile names are such a personal thing.

I'm sure there was a children's book with a girl called Fawn in it.

I like it. Pretty. Not too fussy or frilly. Overtones of Faye, Dawn and other more established names. Yes, I like it.

Not overly keen. For no other reason than I just think "Bambi"

Report
Dolwar · 12/01/2017 23:19

I just think of a blah colour of paint.

Efferlunt · 12/01/2017 23:26

Not keen. It's a sort of beige at least that's what it reminds me of. Fern on the other hand I love!

DramaAlpaca · 12/01/2017 23:50

I'm not too keen, but I do like Fern.

Love it, and the alternative Faun.

Faun? Hmm

aretheyhavingalaff · 13/01/2017 00:17

Sounds very "beige" to me.

Don't go with faun, that's a half man half goat.

I've seen Faune as a first and middle name - I think it's pretty!

^ First and middle name on different people obviously - Faune Faune would be taking it too far! :D

I think it's quite pretty as a middle name but now it's driving me. Mad trying to think of the kids book that had a girl called fawn as a character, I'm sure there was one!

Ipushed One of the Disney fairies is called Fawn, could that be it?
I wouldn't use it as a first name but think its fine as a middle name.

Yes, I mentioned that above, Ipush - definitely not a Disney one, it's one from my own childhood, so 70s or 80s (or maybe an older book from the 60s or earlier even). Driving me mad too!
