Scarlet or Scarlett?

I think I prefer Scarlet, as it's the colour... However, my first daughter's name ends in a double letter (when it could be 1, but both are accepted, like Scarlet/Scarlett) but then my Elliot only has one, but I didn't mind that as he is male (compared to DD) but now I feel like it would be silly to go with one t, as DD1 would be left out, but 2 ts means that the girls are the same and DS isn't, but that makes sense!

So, Scarlet or Scarlett?

For me scarlet the colour has one 't', and Scarlett the name has two 't's, so obviously in your case I would go for Scarlett Smile

Scarlet's a colour; Scarlett's a name.

So, Scarlett.

Scarlet just looks wrong as a name.

Would a child really feel left out if they had a different number of letters in their name.....?

Because it's the correct spelling.

I prefer 1 t. What is that 2nd t doing? Nothing, absolutely nothing, just being all English (language) and being a pointlessly present letter. No I am not American

100% Scarlett
