Morgan for my money. Side note: I'm a Celt and would pronounce it 'Morr-gan' as opposed to the English pronunciation: Mor-gun. But I like either.

I like Regan too but my first thought was the film The Exorcist, which is a shame because it's a very pretty name.

Is it for a girl or a boy?

For a girl, Regan.

For a boy, Morgan.

Reagan, never
Morgan for a car or horse

Probably a bad plan to have a child called Regan. You may end up mad on a heath.

I agree with LittleBearPad, A kid called Regan won't be looking after you in your old age!

I'm not keen on Regan because it always makes me think of the character in King Lear.

Me too Amelia, the two horrid sisters, Goneril and Regan,....

Morr-gan all the way

Me too AmeliaJack.. Though, to be fair it's better than Goneril!

Morgan reminds me of Morgan Le Fey in Arthurian legend, another ruthless type. I prefer the more feminine sounding Morgana.

Well I'' pretty sure that there would only be one Goneril in a class so it already ticks on MN approved box. 😄

I know a gorgeous little Regan and remember wondering why her parents gave her such an ugly name the first time I met her. Sorry! Also made me think of King Lear and what a terrible namesake.

So Morgan!

Both equally hideous.

cbigs · 27/09/2016 18:25

Sorry op really not keen on either. Both sound a bit 'ugly' to be honest but you'll never get a full house of agreement. I agree with regan for a girl and Morgan for a boy if that helps. ( Morgan is a bit chavvy my neck of the woods too)
