Alexander is very stylish and dignified.

Jason is very dated nowadays, but as a middle name to honour someone important (eg his father or uncle perhaps) then it's not hideous or anything.

Two very classical names.

I actually love Jason and had it on my list for DD had she been a boy. DH vetoed it though as he found it dated.

It's funny that Alexander is acceptable but people think Jason is terrible. They're very much from the same stable of names! It's just that Jason sounds a bit 1970's to our ears.
