Please can someone help me suggest some baby names? We can't agree, and even when we do agree (ie on Rupert for a boy) he claims weeks later that he's not that bothered by it and NEVER agreed to it!

So names we like but can't use are-
Hector
Rory
Wilfred
William

Ottilie
Jemima

I like names that can be shortened but am not too bothered as long as it's not a top 30 name. Thank you.

I have a friend who is a henrietta (love that name!) . Her sister is Eleanor (known to everyone as Nell)

Love Eleanor purely for the Nell thing, my father is Neil and his rugby nn is Nelly so thought that is a cute nod to him. My other half is not over keen though. What else is Nell short for? Petronella (too much) and Helen (not keen) are the only ones I can think of. Also Eleanor is my nieces middle name, does that matter?

Dh vetoed Wilbur this morning but Phillipa is a maybe.

I always thought Nell was a NN for Elizabeth as well as Eleanor, could Florence work with NN Nell?

Like Florence, but the Nell thing is too tenuous.

Fenella, Fenna is a nice nn too.
In my sister-in-laws family they have a Petronella and a Cornelia both shortened to Nell.
