What's the general consensus on Molly? Too popular? Dated?

I love it.

Love it! Would have called my now 4 month old ds Molly if he was a girl :-)

Sorry but I think it's a bit of a weak name and one that suits a little girl more than a woman. Was very fashionable a few years ago so may date.

It's nice

I neither like nor dislike it. It's safe. That's a good thing though Smile

It's one if those names which I always think should be a nn for something else. It's nice enough, but makes me think of a Victorian kitchen maid.

It's not dated though, it's quite popular around here, as are Alfie, Ellie, Archie, etc..

I know what you mean. I think it was originally used as a nickname for Mary or Margaret.

Really lovely

I'm not keen because it's a nickname not a full name and I've got a thing about having that on the BC!

A nick name I assume is better for s child anyway so maybe consider putting the full name Mary on the BC

Rather wet. In a similar vein to Daisy, Poppy, etc. Better suited to a little girl than an adult.

I prefer Polly

I don't like it, sorry. It's a bit prim and cutesy.

Lovely. But then I love the Molly, Daisy, Poppy names and think they suit adults perfectly well.

I have a Molly. It's a nice name and it suits her really well, but I wish I'd have thought more about it now.
She was either going to be Rose or Molly, but she literally had the name Molly written all over her face.

It's too cutesy for my taste, but better than the likes of Maisie or Poppy.

Meh. Safe, a bit bland tbh. But nothing wrong with it really, just to me it doesn't have much to it.

Dog name imo, like Daisy, Maisie, Poppy etc.

Molly is nice but it just sounds too much like Dolly for my liking x
