4-week-old baby boy needs a name!

Hi, we have a 1-month-old son and have yet to find a perfect name :( I feel absolutely terrible about it... I like relatively classic names and DH likes more modern; I have yet to find one which suits both of our tastes and I'm wondering if you could help? :)
My favourite:
Charles, but I agreed to go with just Charlie (for DH) and this was his name for a little while...
Edward - we liked the NN Eddie, but DH said he would rather have just Eddy and that was a no from me!
Matthew, I adore Matty for a little boy and Matt for when he's older (all the family love this too)
Joseph - Joey suits him, IMHO, but DH doesn't like it...
Zack/Zach/Zac - DH would like just Zack (no way, it doesn't suit him at all) I liked Zachary and Isaac (NN Zach/Zac) - Isaac suits him, Zachary not so much!
Benjamin/Bennett
Alexander
Oliver - adore this, but know millions
Frederick - NN Freddie
Patrick - not a fan of any NNs...
DH likes:
Boston
Lincoln
Hayden
Lewis (I actually like this a lot, but not sure it suits him, sigh...)
Alfie
Leo
Jay
Kyle/Kai

Charlie & Lewis by far from your list.

Congrats on your boy!

Eden and Jacob, it has a nice ring to it! Also like PPs suggestions of Thomas and Samuel, I forget how many days you have to register his name OP?

Matthew or Zach from your list.
Like Jacob. Lewis/louis is very popular and often get the nn Lew
How about Jonah?

Really don't know if Lewis suits him... So that's why I'm holding back - do love the idea of Louis though - what about Louie? I just worry it won't be pronounced the French way

I agree on Jacob. Jacob and Eden sounds great.
I have a Jacob and also on my list were:
Alex
Luca
Daniel
I have left out Ben and Joseph as they were on your list already.
Good luck Smile

I read a thread on here where everyone assured the OP that Louis would always be pronounced correctly. I'm not sure that's true but there were a few pages of people saying they knew or had a Louis and never had a problem with the wrong pronunciation.

We were umming and arghing between Louis, Jesse and Joshua. Joshua seems to have won however it won't surprise me if we see him and change our mind again!!
