Middle Name for Aurelie?

Persephone76 · 13/08/2015 14:08

We've decided on Aurelie for our girl's name, but now need a middle name that goes with our short 2 syllable surname (think a surname like Styles that can be 1 or 2 syllables depending on the emphasis).

Other names we had on our shortlist for the first name were:

Merryn
Juno
Juliette
Mireille

Not sure any of those goes with Aurelie! Any ideas?

I think Juno goes beautifully with Aurelie. I wouldn't worry too much about going with the surname as that may change in time.

I like Juno too. I don't think Merryn or Mireille go very well with Aurelie - too many Rs and Ls!

Agreed, Juno works best! Nice name

I like the definite sounding end of Juliette or Merryn after Aurelie.

Thanks everyone - so no consensus on the list, ha!

Has anyone got any alternative suggestions?

A beautiful name op, but I really hope you're living in France. A good friend had named her daughter Aurèlie and most people pronounce it 'Orally'. Which might be an issue.

Love Aurelie but dh wouldn't let me use it due to "Orally"...Juliette goes well. I love Aurelie Rose even if Rose is overused.

Aurelie Merryn, or Aurelie Jane.

I love it. Seren Aurelia was our alternative girls name. So Seren? Or Edith works well I think.
