Henry James - nice, classic, popular and common. I know several Henry's under 5.

Noah Harrison - nice but a little faddy. I know two baby Noah's.

River Lennox - don't like it, too american and try hard. V out of place and different compared to other choices.

What about Max? (Sprung to mind).

Sophia Anastasia - nice, quite common, 50 shades of grey reference would put me off.

Felicity Madeline - I like this one.

Scarlett Rosalie - like this too.

Violet Charlize - not keen on violet, it's ok I suppose. Really dislike Charlize.

Henry and Felicity my faves.

Henry James - classic
Noah Harrison - a bit trendy/faddy
River Lennox - I like this. Unusual names but not unheard of

Girls:

Sophie Anastasia - like
Felicity Madeleine - not so keen
Scarlett Rosalie - quite like
Violet Charlize - Violet is nice but Charlize is a bit harsh

I like Henry James, and I like Sophie but not with Anastasia. Sophie Madeleine or Sophie Violet would be nice.

I think all of these are nice useable names with the exception of River Lennox which is weirdly out of place in the context of your list.

I don't like River, it's a bit showbizzy but I like all of the other names on your list.

Henry James would be my preference but immediately thinking of the author, is that deliberate?

Felicity Madeleine for girls

Ditch harrison( there are 8 in my dds year group), river, Lennox and charlize these are all fad names.

Sophie or Felicity for girls. Both lovely names, classic feel. Violet and Scarlett more on trend popular, ok names though

Henry then Noah for boys. River is a bit faux hippy, not sure why I think so as is less faux hippy than some other more popular, similarly styled names

Henry James - I like it. You don't come across too many Henrys.
Noah Harrison - Yes, also fine.
River Lennox - Don't like it, Lennox River I like though.

Sophie Anastasia - It's Ok. Lots of Sophies.
Felicity Madeleine - Bit long. I think with a four syllable first name a one syllable middle name would be nicer!
Scarlett Rosalie - I don't really like it. There are so many Scarletts, and I don't like Rosalie for some reason. I like Rosalind. Also, Scarlett then Rose something is a bit like two shades of red.
Violet Charlize - Violet is ok but I really really dislike Charlize!

Henry James was not because of the author, never even heard of him, just love both names.

I've struck River from the list as I agree it's out of place. I've added Emmett William instead.

I know Sophie is quite popular but I have a French theme running through my girl combos and its the name of a recently passed friend.

I love Charlize so while it's obviously not popular I can't see it going anywhere.

I see the whole "double red" thing in Scarlett Rosalie, any suggestions for French middle names to go with Scarlett?

That's funny - a few years ago I was considering naming DD Anastasia Sophie, but concluded there were too many 'S's in the combination. Both lovely names though. Your name choices are lovely, but I actually prefer some of your middle names - I find Madeleine and Rosalie nicer than Scarlett and Felicity. Unsure about Charlize.

Not so keen on your boy choices. I don't see the appeal of Noah, (which is very popular right now of course, so he'd probably not be the only one in the class). Harrison is a surname (what's wrong with Harry?), Henry James was a famous author, River Lennox sounds a lot like the late film star, River Phoenix. Do you want these associations, or do they not bother you?

Love Henry James. Very classic
Love Sophie but not with Anastasia. Sophie Madeleine?
Also love Felicity Madeleine. Or Madeleine as first name.

I'd go for Noah or Sophie.

I like Scarlett too and Harrison as a first name.

Definitely NOT River! Just my opinion of course. The others are lovely.

River and Scarlett get my vote , with both the middle names you listed

I immediately thought of the author Henry James. I think I would go with Henry Lennox for something a bit different.
Felicity Madeleine is my favourite of the girls, but would prefer Madeleine Rosalie.

Henry James
and Violet but not Charlize

I like Noah, but don't like any of those boy combinations, sorry.

Noah James is nice.

Like Violet, but really don't like Charlize.

I love Anastasia Sophie but I switched them around because Anastasia, while beautiful, reminds me of 50 shades of grey to much to use as a first name.

Nothing is wrong with Harry but a) it's a nickname for Henry and B) Noah Harry doesn't flow very well with my last name. (I'm only having one child so Harrison/Harry and Henry won't both be used)

Henry James is a common enough combo that I don't think the author association will matter much but it's not a bad association and River Phoenix was what actually got me liking River. He was a great actor in his short life, besides I doubt many in my child's generation will even know who River Phoenix is
