So, so stuck on boys name. I really like Kade but not sure if perceived a bit chavvy?

Zakken Wed 01-Jul-15 12:40:57

Much less chavvy with the C spelling. It's a surname, which I'm not usually keen on as first names. I used to know a Cade, but thatt was a nn and not his real given name.

ThinkIveBeenHacked Wed 01-Jul-15 12:46:04

Neither to be honest. Its not a name, surely?

mummy0bummy Wed 01-Jul-15 12:47:10

Neither, sorry. But if you have to choose, go for Cade.

WinterOfOurDiscountTents15 Wed 01-Jul-15 12:48:22

Agree, neither is great but always a C over a K.

Excitedforxmas Wed 01-Jul-15 12:48:50

Don't like either sorry but would go with a c spelling if I had to

Zakken Wed 01-Jul-15 12:57:44

Yes, it is a name, but principally a surname.

nilbyname Wed 01-Jul-15 12:59:18

It's awful, sounds made up. If you must, with a C rather than a K.

Taste is subjective, choose the name you love.

bluebelle2662 Wed 01-Jul-15 13:14:46

Neither, it's hideous.

Sophronia Wed 01-Jul-15 14:03:12

Neither, but Cade is slightly better than Kade.

Lunastarfish Wed 01-Jul-15 15:06:45

Is it pronounced Cayd or Caydee? Agree with others go with C spelling either way

ConfusedInBath Wed 01-Jul-15 16:44:44

Never heard of it.

florascotia Wed 01-Jul-15 16:51:48

It does exist. It's a surname. Jack Cade was a medieval revolting (literally) peasant - he led a

GladysTheGolem Wed 01-Jul-15 16:53:55

What's Lindsay Lohans name in Mean Girls?

IssyStark Wed 01-Jul-15 16:56:21

Don't like it myself as a full name but okay as a nickname. It would have to be with a C. Possibly go for Caedyn as the full name, which has a certain Welsh/Anglo-Saxon look to it (see also Caedmon, Caedfael etc)

Sophronia Wed 01-Jul-15 17:13:02

I think Lindsay Lohan's Mean Girls character is Cady?

Zakken Wed 01-Jul-15 18:14:37

I can also remember a TV programme called Cade's County, a western in which the sheriff (I think) had the surname Cade.

PennilynLott Wed 01-Jul-15 18:25:17

Sophronia yeah, I'm gonna call her Caddy.

MamaLazarou Wed 01-Jul-15 18:38:54

I don't like either but with a C if you must.

Mintyy Wed 01-Jul-15 21:44:02

It's not a name I am very familiar with. How would it be pronounced?

Either way I think you should choose the spelling you like best and not worry about other people's perceptions. I guarantee there is no name on the planet that someone somewhere doesn't like! Even the most innocuous names like James or Mary are a no-no with some people.

Zakken Wed 01-Jul-15 23:32:21

It's Cade to rhyme with Jade confused Nothing complicated about it.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers Thu 02-Jul-15 09:49:33

If you have to then go with Cade

clairemum22 Thu 02-Jul-15 20:26:26

I don't like either!

kissmyheathenass Thu 02-Jul-15 20:29:21

Both chavv imo.
