Blythe - how would you pronounce?

Does it end with a heavy/longish 'th' or a shortish/light one?

The th would be the same as the one qt the end of clothe, so longish, longer than cloth.

Hard to describe, but she almost made it rhyme with 'life'. So she made the 'th' so light it sounded close to 'blyfe'

In littlest pet shop the girl is called this and is pronounced bly-th. So the bly like fly with the th sound on the end.

I can 'hear' it in my head in an essex accent and SIL's rendering would make more sense that way. Maybe she has only ever met an Estuary Blythe?

Blythe to rhyme with life (but not changing the th to a f) is acceptable. I pronounce it both ways. In my head obviously, it's not one I use much

It's my maiden name, with a long 'th,' although I've also had people pronounce it with a short 'th,' as well as blyt (to rhyme with fight) and blyd (to rhyme with fried).
