Tricky surname

Hi, I'm after some inspiration for a baby girl name. My surname is Balicki. Pronounced ba-liss-ki.

We would like a name that doesn't just roll into the surname and get lost.

Any suggestions?

I'd definitely avoid names with a similar ending e.g. Lucy, Molly etc Millie is particularly bad as it reminds me of Milli Vanilli :o

Polysyllabic pan-European name would probably go best, so I think soontobeslender's suggestions are lovely.

And would add: Isabella, Victoria, Elisaveta, Penelope, Josephine, Helena, Madeleine, Natasha, Veronica

My husband really likes Phoebe but I'm not sure if there is too much of a b sound going on...
Because we are both over 6ft we are probably going to have a tall girl. So we really want a feminine pretty name.
I like the suggestion of Susanna. But it's too close to my name Suzanne

Although cornish names could be a winner. I googled Merryn and apparently it's Cornish. We got engaged in Cornwall and we go there every year for a holiday :)

I love the Cornish name of Elowen. There is also Morwen. Both would sound lovely with your last name, are elegant and feminine and could have meaning for you.
