Initials of a football team?!

Ok, slightly bizarre question, but do you think it's a problem if initials represent a football team?! Our surname begins with a C and a favoured middle name (both a family name of sentimental significance, and a name we both like) begins with an F. So we end up with [first initial]FC.... It only applies to girls names as boy middle name choice is definitely not an F.

Am I over thinking or would you say this is a no-no?.....

I know of 2 people with football club initials (purposely) and I didn't twig until it was pointed out to me. I guess it was because as an adult I didn't know their middle initials.

I do wonder if people would even notice...I suppose I am thinking of when the name is announced, people might notice if they see it in full, especially if we went for one particular option that would spell the initials of a rival football club to ours (DH and I support the same team!) Would it be more cheesy/noticeable if we were to end up with the initials of our team?! (Can't see that happening as no short list names beginning with the appropriate letter....)

No one will notice!

How often do people ask you what your initial including middle name are?

I wouldn't notice unless it was 4 initials like MCFC or something.

Perhaps I am over thinking it....

As we are both big football fans though (as are a lot of our friends/family) I couldn't help wondering if people would notice when the name is announced. Also, this is silly, but DS1 and DS2 have always had their initials on their bedroom doors in cute wooden letters, so I'm sure we'd do the same for this one, and so it would be hard to avoid the initials...

Perhaps for our own benefit, rather than anyone else's, we should just make sure we avoid the initials of our football team and their big rivals. It would probably bother me being conscious of it, even if no-one else noticed!

Just add a second middle name, surely? That way you get your favoured name and another one too!

I did wonder that, Time. DS1 and DS2 only have one middle name each, however, so I wasn't sure if it was odd/unfair (?!) to give number 3 two middle names....As the football club thing is only a potential issue if we have a girl, perhaps it doesn't matter as much (the 2 boys have one middle name and the girl has two....)
