What would Elvin's brother or sister be called?

I am very newly pregnant with dc2, it took a really long time to decide on ds's name. The name needs to work in both Swedish and English and I'd ideally like something unusal (like Elvin) as I have a very normal name and my brother has an unusal name and I was very envious as a child.

Ds's name is Elvin.

Names we have considered are

tor
Freja (not unusual at all)

Thanks

Thank you for the suggestions! I really like Lykke and Eirik.

Theodor was on our original list but I think it would be unwise to use it with a dc1 called Elvin although Elvin and Alvin are just names in Sweden, I havn't met anyone who associates it with the chipmunks.

What an interesting blog flora thank you for that link :)

I am tempted to choose an English name this time, many people choose names which are English, in the top 100 they have the names Kevin, noel, and Colin, and Derick. I don't think I will pick any of those names but I would be seen as trendy if I choose an English name.

I have a friend with an Elvin and Theo Grin don't think she'd made the connection with the chipmunks, bless her Grin

Sorry, that wasn't very helpful, I will try and remember what other names she liked (she's Scandinavian)

Hold on a second.

Kevin, Colin & Derek are hip in Sweden?

Gosh.

How about Bernard? I was reading an Alfie book today and thought 'goodness, I can't imagine anyone calling their child Bernard anymore'

It sounds like the Swedes are ready for it though Grin
