6 weeks until D-day - and no names!! Please be honest - or give us inspiration. I love names with a meaning / history. We'd like something unusual but not wacky / made up or too modern. We're having a girl and I'd also like the name to be feminine.

So, deep breath:

Amelia
Delphi
Evelyn
Naomi
Neve
Grace

my daughter is venetia. not many around in the years since she was born. Its hard to shorten ..It depends on your surname. Try saying your chosen names out loud that will give you a clue.

Isla?

If you mean the same name as Niamh I wouldn't use your spelling. Apart from that they're lovely.

Thank you! I love Isla but we're in Scotland and its a really popular name here - along with many others id choose otherwise.

I think we're leaning towards Delphi or Namoi

Out of your list:

Amelia - too popular
Delphi - love it but prefer Delphine
Evelyn - too many Eves
Naomi - feel 80s to me
Neve - would prefer it spelled Niamh
Grace - lovely as a first name, very dull as a default middle name

Seraphina?

I love Amelia but haven't really heard any Evelyn's or Neve's. I'd go with one of them

Delphi is my favourite.
