Girl due in March I have a first choice name but like to have a few options as felt pressured to name DS the name we picked and was stuck in hospital doubting it - still have doubts now.
Middle name is Frances after my Mum last name begins with S
First choice is Bella
Every name I say that I like DH says he knew someone that was a bitch at school, uni, work a teacher etc with that name I honestly can't get him to agree to any names.
He does like Amelie which I like but his parents friends have a granddaughter called Amelie whom they spend more time with than our son so feel they would see our Amelie as Amelie 2 if that makes sense.
Any ideas welcome...
Thanks

Some alternatives to Amélie could be:
Emilie
Elodie
Aurélie
Noémie
Sophie

Bella's cute though (is it short for Isabella?). How about Seraphina?

Thanks everyone a few of those names are taken by family members or close friends god daughters.

Bella is just Bella not short for anything we have a goddaughter called Isabelle but she gets called Izzy.

Have shown DH and we both like Sofia - or Sophia and Mia so that is getting somewhere thank you x

Good! As you ask I would add I don't like Bella -- a lot of pressure on the kid to be beautiful and it also sounds a bit like bell* Blush. My DH suggested Bella.

A good alternative to that name might be Bonnie -- v cute and less obvious.

Good luck!
