We have 2 boys, Alfie and Jack.

Both very common although not common where we live. Both have middle name of James.

Ds3 will have middle name of James too.

Can't decide/agree in a first name. What do you think?

Bradley?
Ben?
Dylan?

Or something else?

Bradley makes me think of Bradley Walsh.
Dylan I like.
As for Ben....

As for James, I like you using this name for all of them, I have a Michael James and a James Alexander.

Bradley - dont like sorry
Dylan - fine
Ben - just millions and millions every family has a Ben it is totally overdone.

Just for interest why are they all called James?

James for all 3 as its my dh middle name.

And my brother is Michael James or we would consider Michael. Love Thomas too but my younger brother is Tom.

Dh initials are AJD, so wanted to name dc3 with a D name so our sons are dh initials iyswim.

But dh not keen on Dylan, where out of those 3 choices its my favourite.

Boys names are so hard!

I like the name Ben, despite knowing one that I really disliked. not keen on the other two names.

Dermot/Diarmuid? Daniel?

Love Ben, Dylan is ok, less keen on Bradley.

I think trying too hard for the initials is less important than finding a name you both love.

Boys names are totally impossible though!

Dylan James is my DS's name (18 months) - we don't hear many other boys with the name Dylan.

as pickledfanjocat said it's a Welsh name and the English pronunciation of it is v annoying tbh and makes me think of a character from the magic roundabout...Smile

My welsh speaking friend Dylan gets very upset about it if he gets called dillan!

Don't think it's at all a problem though if you live in England and want to pronounce it that way?

Mine is called Dylan. His Welsh Grandad calls him 'Dullan', but we say 'Dillon'. I think it's a brill name ;)
