Baby names

We just cannot agree. If I tell you what we like can you suggest anything else similar please?

We have one ds and one dd, so have used both our favourite names. We both keep coming up with suggestions but the other just does not like it enough to even consider for a shortlist, or there is a perfectly valid reason why we couldn't use it. We have no shortlist. We do, however, have another 22 weeks but it is getting closer and we are getting nowhere!!! At least if you know what we like you may have suggestions that we'd like IYSWIM?.....

Boys names we like; Taylor, Jackson, Ethan, Dexter, Fraser, Elliot, Lennox, Alex, Stephan, Deacon,

Girls names we like; Francesca, Adele, Monica, Vanessa, Hazel, Stephanie, Anna, Olivia,

I've also put our dc's names in there somewhere!!!

I think they are all gorgeous names. I'm presuming your list above (that isn't a shortlist!) include names that both you or dh like, but not both of you.
You've still got enough time to change your minds lots of times. Good luck deciding.

Of the boys names I like Alex best.

Girls names are much easier I always think. Of your choices I like Vanessa, Adele and Hazel best. Also from other folks suggestions I like Vernoica. I also like Iris.

Have you tried Nymblr ?

It generates names based on those you already like

Put the ones in you listed above and see if it generates one you'll both love

Nymbler seems completely random to me. But nothing to lose by playing with it.

I suggested Veronica because it contains elements of some other names on the OP's list and because like most of them it's Latin/Italian. It's a pan-European name which travels well, and that's always an advantage.

Thanks everyone Smile there are a couple that would work which I like so will suggest to dh, but it's amaxing how many of you have given my first 2 names, my nephew, my friends, 2 friend's sons, one daughter, a husband, and one of our chicken's names!!! Our surname ends in ey so that also rules out rhymey names.
Nymbler was interesting- I also thought it quite random but definitely in the theme of my likes, I've tried it a little and will go back to it with another of our 6 favourites.
Percy that's interesting I hadn't noticed that some of our suggestions are Latin but I am aware that I do find them generally very lovely names, I'll definitely look in to that more.
jkklpu is Odile pronounced just as it looks? I've never heard of it before.
Lol @ Gnoccininedoors, they aren't the dcs but yes they are lovely aren't they?! (they were my suggestions!!)
Thank you all so much......any more to add?? Even if we do find a name, I just love names and could read about them all day!!

Like your boys names! My DS1 is in there somewhere!

Fraser & Taylor are my particular favourites. Your girls names are not my taste but Francesca & Olivia are nice.

From the boys' names I notice that:
most of them are also surnames
several contain the 'x' sound (including Jackson)
Two or three have a Scottish vibe

Odile is French and is pronounced Oh-deel. A similar name is Odette.

In that case bramblina Elliott or Anna it is then Grin

Percy, I love surnames for boys. Also love names with X and Z, I think they sound strong. And, we're in the Highlands of Scotland! Ooooh, you're good!

I like Odile but, imagine it in a scottish accent. No good Sad

Gnocci, dh isn't keen on Elliott, and Anna is the name of his cousin's baby. Harumph.

Felix and Fergus always sound Scottish to me.

Monica is nice, also like Erica (means heather,so tenuous Scottish link there) and Ursula.
