If you are concerned about not giving your new baby girl a popular name, you might be best to avoid Erin Grace. I know 4, 3 of who are under 3 months old; the other is 3.

I know of an Erin Rose and an Erin Louisa Jade - does seem to be getting quite popular.

Just to redress the balance (and to reassure any mums of Erins who are now panicking) I have only met 3 Erins (of varying spellings) in 3 1/2 years of toddler groups/nurseries. All are around age 3 or 4 now. I think it is in the top 50 though, so maybe is surprising I have not met more. Grace is an extremely common middle name though, and I would expect a significant percentage of under 5s have this as a middle name.

I think these encounters with '3 babies with the same name' are quite coincidental and maybe reflect the fact that people who are similar associate with one another and tend toward similar name preferences. (I recently encountered 2 baby Irises in a very short space of time, which probably does reflect fact that Iris is getting more popular but not necessarily that we are about to be overrun by them!)

I am in Ireland and have not met an Erin in years, my older boy is 4.5 now and we go to loads of parent and child groups and there are no girls called Erin at any of them.

Pretty name.

Well, Grace and Rose are THE middle names these days, it seems. Not suprising then that there are a lot of Erin Graces and Emily Roses out there etc.

The only thing the EGs I know have in common is me. None if their families know each other and they all live in different parts of the UK. But, they could be the only ones in the whole country, who knows ( fwiw, my own DC have top 20 ish names).

It's probably not very popular in Ireland as it's a bit Americany Irish also there's a famous brand of dried soups called Erin.
