Ethan, Seth, Felix or Louis

Just wondering what you think of these names?
DS has a popular biblical name.

I particularly like Louis pronounced Lou-ee. My cousin has Louis pronounced Lewis which I like too but I think the French pronunciation has the edge. Either way, your son is likely to encounter some uncertainty as ee v. is when he meets new people for the first time.

I like Felix too. Some people will tell you it's a cat's name though. I can't imagine a big macho burly bloke called Felix either - just a refined, sensitive one. (Suspect this is down to having only met one Felix who conforms to the latter rather than former stereotype...)

Ethan and Seth are both fine and inoffensive but I find them a bit bland. Someone mentioned in another thread that Ethan sounds a bit chemical (presumably because it sounds a bit like ethane?) and I can't get that out of my head.

If it's Loo-ee, then I love Louis. Not so keen on the Lewis pronunciation.

Seth is just creepy, reminds me of a nasty snake. And it rhymes with Death.

Felix is OK but as you say, only suits a certain type of personality.

Louis is far and away my favourite of the four names. Pronounced the French way, definitely.

Yes Loo ee considered it for DS. Just not sure if associated with loo and rhymes with pooey!

So Louis, Snakey Seth! or Felix are the most popular. I do think Felix would suit our family's style- I am rather refined and sensitive!

Louis feels like the safe choice. To me Seth and Felix are braver names. Surname is fairly common so not considering names like Oliver and Jacob that I also like (Ethan is more popular than I thought though looking at the charts)

I like Felix and Ethan, then Seth. Don't like Louis, it sounds a bit insubstantial and I don't like the first syllable being "loo".
