Not keen on Rowan (posh, insipid) or Toby (puppy) at all, I'm afraid.

I like your girls names very much. Elspeth is unusual and lovely, Rosa is a gorgeous, classic name and Sylvie is very sweet. not keen on Arietty, though! It sounds like a cockney trying to say Harriet.

I can't really understand how Arietty gets more flack than Pheobe etc surely there are so many names that are so connected to characters....... We'd have a very short list if we vetoed all for that reason.
Don't like Harriet anywhere near as much unfortunately though no hurry....... Plenty time to mull these over. Thanks so much for all your comments.

I love Rowan for a boy, gorgeous.

I would totally use Arrietty and would love to meet a little girl called this. It sounds beautiful. Otherwise, quite like Sylvie. Elspeth is nice and Rosa is sweet.
