Masculine yet different names

I really need help. My partner and I cannot think/decide/agree on any names for our DS! We found out he was going to be a boy and all the wonderful girls names I had have gone and now I am stuck. The name I like is:

Jett

He likes:

Tyler

But if anyone has any suggestions for masculine sounding names that are a bit different (I dont want any Johns, Toms etc) please let me know!!

Tyler is commonly used as a girls name (especially in the US) so might not be the best choice for a clearly masculine name.

How about: Boris, Ron(ald), Clifford, Clinton, Kingsley, Warren, Stewart, Piers, Ramsay, Oswald, Bertram, Marcus, Harvey, Hamilton, Enoch, Dean?

I think both Tyler and Jett sound masculine, certainly in the UK.

I suggest you take a look of last year's list of ALL baby boys names - there are thousands of lovely names outside of the top 100 or even 250 names.

I have a Dexter, One of the reasons we chose it was because it will last through to when he is adult.

Yes Tyler is a unisex name, can be boy or girl.

Not keen on Jett personally. I like John and TOM tbh. However in an attempt to be helpful how about?

HelloKitty123 - could you be a star and let me know how you find the list of ALL the names? I've tried to find it a few times and am obviously being really dim but I can only ever find the 'Top 100' lists on the ONS website...

OP if you like any of the suggestions here then perhaps try putting them into Nymbler (US website) which generates suggestions based on six names you like. Good luck!

You need to scroll through the sheets of the spreadsheet till you get to Table 6, that is the one with ALL the names. (the first few sheets are top 100 etc).

We've just had a DS and named him Bay, which we chose pretty much with the same criteria as you!
