DH and I are looking for potential names for Dc2... We do not know the sex so finding it doubly hard to find names we like!!!

I'm pretty set on

Rhodri Hendrix for a boy

Or

Guinevere (?) for a girl - can't think of a middle name to go with!!

We already have an Owain Morgan, and am quite keen to maintain welsh heritage even though we live in England now!

What do you guys think?

Love Rhodri Hendrix Smile

Guinevere reminds me of the lotto machine though!

Like Rhodri but think Guinevere is going to be a massive spelling problem (think we are spelling it wrong here) and she could easily turn into a nn you do not really like (eg Vera ...)
Am not Welsh so cannot offer many ideas but I knew two lovely Welsh sisters called Catrin and Rhiannon ...

Lol, no, we're spelling it right!

I'm not too concerned about others not being able to spell, I've got a really unusual name and people never get that right... But hey, it's not really been a problem, I'd rather have my name than a more common one!

I'd encourage the nn Guin, as I think that's nice.

We had thought about Genevieve, but not keen on it being shortened to Gen or Eve!

Love Rhodri Hendrix too!

Guinevere might want a less exotic MN just in case. You might need to give us a clue on your surname (1st letter to avoid unsuitable acronyms, number of syllables).

Guinevere Sian
Guinevere Lucy
Guinevere Meryl

Guinevere isn't Welsh though - the Welsh version is Gwenhwyfar, Guinevere is the English form...

Not really keen on Guinevere I have to say, just way too fussy and it sounds like you've really tried HARD to pick a very unusual name. However love Genevieve, I know one who has always been Vivie.

If you are keen on a longish Welsh name, how about Gwenllian?

Middle names:

Guinevere Haf
Guinevere Jess
Guinevere Daisy

Rhodri is a smashing name, not so keen on Hendrix.

If you want the nickname Guin, would you consider Gwen instead? Much more straightforward, pretty and still has the Welshness.
