It's slang for potato.

Damn, it is a bit potatoey.

Back to the drawing board then. Any advances on a one syllable, non-poncey, not-too-common-but-not-too-out-there name?

I like Tate. What has it got to do with potatoes - never heard it related to potatoes Confused.

But, to answer your next question, how about Quinn or Sol?

Quinn is just a bit too like Quim (might or might not matter depending on what your family and friends are like!)

How about: Hugh, Ralph, Paul, John, Jake, Brynn, Dash, Mark, Luke, Bert, Roy, Blaise, Troy, Piers?

How about Seth?

Seth would have been our boys name, and funnily enough Tate was on my shortlist too (DH veto).

How about:
Nate
Joel
Giles

I like Tate, but couldn't put it on my list as tis the name of a very lovely tall handsome lad I once repeatedly and passionately snogged up against a wall knew.

I wouldn't -too open to nicknames.

I have a Tate Grin Excellent choice!

The only nickname we have for him is Totty - as in Tatey totty smelly botty, but i'm sure he'll grow out of it.

Potato!

I'm northern. He will get called Tatey... Imagine if he is a lazy fatty? Too cruel IMO sorry.

Meditrina - Luke is on our shortlist, DH likes it, I prefer James / Jamie atm and it's a family name too.

Would like something that just touches on being unusual without being teasing fodder. DH wants biblical and boring
