Brother for Louie?

My ds1 is 'Louie' and ds2 is due at the end of this month (eek, less than 10 days away) but we're really stuck for names. Can anyone help us name Louie's baby brother?

So far our shortlist looks like this:
Albert
Wilfred (probably to be shortened to Wilf)
Oscar
Jude
Franco

What do people think to these and anyone have any other suggestions as none of these seem to be quite right?

We're not keen on using another 'ie' ending name so no Charlie, Alfie, etc.

Please help!

I do like Jude - but it doesn't make you think Judas does it? Not that we're particularly religious but I can just imagine the look on my mother's face!

Jude doesn't make me think Judas, more Hey Jude! There's also a nice Judah in the Bible so it's not all bad. I think the meaning of Jude is linked to lost causes but how many people would know that? I only do from reading this Mumsnet board!

Albert - It's just - (if that makes sense)
Wilfred - Hate it, It's just too old men like
Oscar - Like it, but gettting more popular
Jude - I really like (doesn't make me think of Judas at all btw. But of Jude the apostle 'Brother of Jesus' Jude. Patron of lost causes - I knew a year in catholic school would serve me well in the end. It's also German for Jew.)
Franco - Spain, no, not good at all. Maybe stay away from naming DC after fascist dictators :P

George, William, James, Thomas, Henry, Rchard, Robert, Peter, Philip etc would go well.

Names like all go with Louie

Ha about Franco! And there was I worried it might sound too like a pizza/pasta chain. My late grandfather had the same name as a different dictator so maybe it was a subconscious tribute...

Jude is getting the thumbs up and my worries seem to be completely unfounded! Plus I've always loved the song Hey Jude!

Totally agree with Iamkenny!

What about Arnaud (pronounced Arno obviously, but it's French so sounds like the brother of a louis/louie

I think I like Jude best. But promise me if you have twins you call them Huey and Dewey Grin

We have very similar taste in boys' names. I have a Louis and Albert and Wilfred are on my list (unfortunately DH prefers names like Brody and Blake so he will need some convincing!)

Louis and Freddy sound good together.

Ooh - Arnaud I like! Will run that by DH tonight.
hocuspontas - if I'm having twins I think I'd be overwhelmed enough to consider Huey & Dewey!!
