Me and DP really like Noah but it's too popular. What's people's opinions/suggestions for middle names?

If its a middle name you're after does it matter how popular it is?

I meant to go with it, Jonah as first name!

I like Jonah.

I think a single syllable name would go well as a middle name like:

Jonah Luke
Jonah Mark
Jonah Paul
Jonah Saul
Jonah Seth

I like it, but I think it's difficult to pair another name with. I'd go for either three or four syllables if possible.

Jonah Alexander
Jonah Sebastien
Jonah Benjamin
etc

I prefer Jonah to Noah.

Jonah Matthew
Jonah Felix
Jonah Daniel
Jonah Lewis
Jonah Dylan
Jonah Sebastian
Jonah Maxim
Jonah David
Jonah Samuel
Jonah Charles
Jonah Theodore
Jonah Lawrence
Jonah Silas
Jonah William

Jonah William is my favourite! (After my grandad who died this year) but baby will have a W surname and the alliteration sounds ridiculous.

DP's middle name is Lee which he wants, but I think it's become a bit or a filler sort of name, as well as the fact we're not married and so I don't think its fair that he has his middle name AND last name! Especially as my favourite first name (Ellis) has been disregarded :(

I love Jonah except my BMI is 29 and I fear if I had a DS called Jonah they might call us Jonah & the Whale!!!

I have a seven month old Jonah and never get anything but fab comments (well apart from one cousin but he is a moron and is ignoredGrin).
We chose a one-syllable middle name.

Jonah is infinitely better than Noah. Noah sounds like an old man with halitosis yawning.

Jonah is great.

It's by far my number one favourite boys name but got vetoed by DH as it's his friends name and he thought it would be weird. I am so jealous that you get to use it.

Love Jonah! I'd suggested it to DS last time but he said it was a synonym for cursed or some bollocks. I guess it's the whale thing... (lol Bird!...)

I think it goes with most things really, although I'd avoid anything starting with A or E if your surname starts with W.
