Thank you. I love it but dh says all he hears is Bovril Hmm! I'm not even pregnant yet so just beig nosy as to what the general opinion was! We already have a 4 yr old ds and I think we are sorted on a name should we have another ds but the girl's name is proving harder! Still plenty of time to twist dh's arm discuss it!

Thank you I am going to print this off to show dh!! Grin.

He actually said it's a nice name but was worried other people would make the bovril association too. Hmmm told him I think he's on his own with that one!

Not to my taste really (love April though, quite a different sound which you may or may not like!)

Ooh I love Avril. Would be on my shortlist but dd1 is an A.

Torn. I was bullied mercilessly by an Avril at school in the 1970s so not disposed to the name - but thinking about it, it is actually quite nice.

I didn't think "Bovril" but "Anvil" crossed my mind.

For some reason I don't like, and I don't think it is related to the teeny bopster

Something to do with A Frill maybe. Struggling to exactly describe my aversion to it (and I'm not into pretty flowery names either)

Ha this has reminded me of being a teenager when Avril Lavigne was about, I look a lot like her and being the 'knock off version' Hmm earned me the nickname Bovril Latrine Hmm Grin

It's an ok name, prefer it outside April though but that's probably just me!

Aveil does make me think of Bovril mainly because one of my mates called Avril was nicknamed Bov, but if you like it who cares?
