Hi, I haven't been on here for ages, but feel the need to voice my worries and see if anyone else has experienced similar....

Over the past few months, I have had sensations of warm water on my right thigh - mostly on the outer side, but sometimes on the inner thigh which feels like I have wet myself - but I haven't! (not that old yet!) Occasionally I have had it on my right inner arm.
I also have the sensation of something stuck under my toes on my left foot - as if its loo roll or similar- this is often after a bath or when I'm very warm.

I went to the doctor about it as is very weird...last week I had it a lot and one day it was at least 15 times! It's not every day that I have the sensations - about 5 out of 7, but not consistently every week. My doctor has referred me to neurology and mentioned testing for MS. He also asked me twice if I had critical illness cover. Now I'm worried!

I am always very tired and have mentioned this to the doctor before, but he has put it down to the fact that I am a single parent and am a teacher full time. I do have an underactive thyroid and am on levothyroxine, but have had my bloods tested recently and all is fine in that department...

If this is the start of MS symptoms, wouldn't they be happening more consistently? I have to wait till 5th December, even though he marked my case as urgent. It's a long time to wait though not knowing why this weird stuff is going on....

Has anyone had anything similar? Thank you x

If anything you need to stop worrying and focusing on the sensation. Its like your body does it more because youre thinking about it and worrying.

Id say try and dismiss it. I had a whole period where i worried about having early symptoms of ms because of numbness muscle twitch and pins and needles us back/neck pain and not being able to walk at the end of a busy day.

What cured me was speaking to my hairdresser about the start of her MS and i realised that this isnt abnormal and i dont have MS. Ever since the sensations that worried me have been much less common. But now typing this my wrist starts to feel numb! Mind over matter.

Doctor is doing tests so try not to worry until he co.es back with results.

I hope you are feeling a little better. I have MS, from what you have said I wouldn’t immediately think of MS, my symptoms were much more defined. Referral to a Neurologist is the right thing, they will note symptoms, examine and possibly order MRI scans. MS is quite difficult to diagnose and many other conditions will be tested for. Try not to stress, look after yourself. Wishing you all the best.
