Was determined to go to this, so DH looked after the kids while I went alone.
Was a bit nervous about going alone, bf was away for weekend, but once there, had a great time and stocked up on supplies.
The bargain of the day was two payperboxes of card, £8.00 for two plus free gift of topper. Being an anorak, have just counted and got 164 pieces of card (including a few bits of paper).
When I bought a box from Clinton Cards though got 109 sheets for £5.99, can't work out why I got less today, but its still very cheap

AQ

No, I went in as soon as it opened, and headed for the far end of the hall when it was quieter, and it wasn't too bad at all. I had two hours to look around, which was plenty for me as I didn't want to eat or drink, just shop and go.
I managed to get a complimentary ticket, it was £3 in advance and £4 on the door. I booked a place on a scrapbooking workshop, and the girl asked me if I was going, and I said I wanted to but hadn't bought a ticket and she gave me a comp, which was good.

i really fancy getting in to scrapbooking ; have you done any before?
dd got a miniscrapbook kit for her birthday and it was great. we both enjoyed doing it.
i bought an album with all the bits in from QVC for my mum's retirement gift, then gave her a gift voucher for a class for mothers' day. she is going in a couple of weeks and i can't wait to see how she gets on.

he he he....I was discussing this with a friend the other day. I have a scrapbook in the cupboard under the stairs and I have only done 1 double spead of our honeymoon! That was about 2 years ago, before I really got into card making!
As I buy bits and bobs I mentally save all my favorites ready for my scrapbook.
It is just something I really don't want to rush, but I feel I will never have enough hours in the day!

Yes AQ,I would love to. But don't really know how to start. Was going to ask DH for support and help me along with it, but he knows as much as me! But still, 2 heads are better than 1...

Have a Downs Syndrome Association Family Disco this evening, and the kiddies aren't back to school until 11th!!!!

If you could point in in the right direction to start with please and I'll give it a go!

I think scrapbooking will really take off, and I think that it would be a good way of earning an income, ie scrapbooking weddings, anniversaries, special holidays etc. Its a lovely way to display photos.
I can't wait to do my class, I need to find some photos.
AQ, I'm away on hols tomorrow for a few days so can I catch up with you when I get back. I guess I need to take photos of my cards first?
